Privacy policy

The short version: Sartor has no accounts and asks for no name or email. Your fit profile stays in your own browser. When you click Shop, you leave Sartor through a tracked affiliate link.

Who we are

Sartor is run by Ziad Mohamed Sadek in Canada. For any privacy question, email walkthestraightpath1@gmail.com.

What Sartor stores

To remember your answers between visits, Sartor saves your fit profile in your browser's local storage, under the name sartor-profile. It holds:

• the styles you picked,
• your age, height, top size, waist and shoe size,
• your budget, the weather you chose, the accessory setting, and any stores you left out.

This stays on your device. It isn't sent to us, and we can't see it. To delete it, clear this site's data in your browser settings; Sartor will simply start again with its default answers.

We don't use accounts, sign-ups, newsletters, analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.

Loading products

To show current prices and stock, your browser asks Sartor's server for the pieces in your looks, by product number only. Your sizes, age and budget aren't part of that request. Our server then checks those products with Channel3, our product data and affiliate partner.

Product photos load directly from Channel3's image servers. Fonts load from Google Fonts, and the page's animation code loads from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr. Like any website request, these services receive your IP address and basic browser details, under their own privacy policies.

When you click Shop

Shop links go through Sartor's server, which fetches the current store link from Channel3 and sends you on to it. These are tracked affiliate links: Channel3, the affiliate network it works with and the store record that the click came from Sartor and whether it leads to a purchase, so that a commission can be paid. They may set cookies on their own websites to do this.

Once you're on the store's site, its own privacy policy applies, including for anything you buy. Sartor never sees your name, address or payment details. We may receive reports of clicks, sales and commission earned, which we use only to run and pay for the site. See the affiliate disclosure for more.

If live product data is unavailable and Sartor shows sample pieces instead, Shop links go straight to the store's own search page, with no tracking from us.

Cookies

Sartor itself sets no cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. The only thing we keep is the fit profile in your browser's local storage, described above. Cookies may be set by Channel3, affiliate networks and stores after you click a Shop link and leave Sartor; you can block or delete those in your browser settings.

Server logs

Sartor's own server doesn't keep logs of visitors. Our hosting provider (Render) may keep standard, short-lived access logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) to keep the service secure and running.

Young visitors

Sartor is meant for people aged 13 and over. Because there are no accounts or forms, we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, you can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. In practice we hold none, but you're welcome to ask: email walkthestraightpath1@gmail.com. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If what Sartor stores or shares changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
